Intersecting arches
Arches form the central architectural idea. Their intersections mark key points within the apartment, giving the interior a coherent spatial rhythm and a sense of scale. Clean surfaces and restrained detailing reinterpret this geometry in a contemporary language while retaining the presence of a classical residence.
Reworking the classical interior
The previous apartment was heavily ornamented, with numerous decorative moldings and details. The renovation responded to a preference for classical interiors by proposing a modern finish that retained their sense of grandeur. Selected elements, including fireplaces and built-in wardrobes, were redesigned while preserving aspects of their existing classical character.
The blue kitchen as a spatial connector
The existing kitchen had an awkward arrangement for everyday use and a weak connection to the reception and living spaces. Changes to openings and entrances, together with a change in floor level at the breakfast area, improved its functional organization and relationship with the hall.
An arch unifies the kitchen’s two principal faces. A distinctive blue introduces visual identity and energy, establishing the kitchen as one of the apartment’s defining spaces.
